Parts of speech are the basic building blocks of language. They help us form phrases, sentences, and paragraphs correctly. Every sentence we speak or write is made using these categories.
The 9 Parts of Speech
- Nouns
Words that name a person, place, thing, or idea.
Examples: dog, city, happiness, teacher - Pronouns
